HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Men are much less likely to take
good care of themselves physically and emotionally than
women. It is also much more probable that males will drink,
take drugs or smoke. This means that men really do need to
take the care of their health seriously.
Diet is a great place to start; cut down
on alcohol consumption, eat more fibrous and
vitamin loaded foods (especially vitamin
C) and cut back on fatty foods. A man should also try to
eat at regular times, not at any hour of the day when time
or workload allows it. Regular meal times have proven to
give almost as much benefit as a healthy
diet.
Regular exercise is a key part of any
healthy life. It need not take up much time; something as
simple as running up and down the staircase in your home a
few times each day will help to exercise your cardio
vascular system. Remember that the idea behind exercise is
not to end up looking like a body builder, but to keep your
current body in better condition. Obviously joining a gym and going for regualr sessions will improve your health and fitness, equipment like treadmills and fitness bikes will help you greatly.
Stress should be avoided if possible. This
is a difficult thing for most people, so another
alternative would to be to find an effective way to deal
with stress in your day to day life; possibly by taking a
relaxing walk in the park, or partaking in
some other pleasurable, yet peaceful pastime.
